Ivan Ross Vrána, Executive Director at the Canadian Expat Association, compares Prague’s food scene in 2013 with 1991, shortly after the end of the Communist regime. Click HERE if you like beer, pork, fried cheese and sausage! (There’s also info on pastries for people like me).

There’s a new place in town — Brothers Beer Bistro — and early signs are that it will be great! Although with so many of those involved being former Becktopians (from Beckta Dining & Wine and/or Play Food & Wine) … I would have been surprised if it was NOT great. Owners Pat Asselin and Nick Ringuette and Chef Darren Flowers have done a great job.
I sampled perfectly seasoned frites, chicken ‘n’ waffles, a bright asparagus salad, fabulous tartare, and a juicy slider (is it still sampling if I had 3?) Even as a non-beer drinker, I tried 2 beers (there are 16 on tap) that I would definitely order again, and an ode-to-beer cocktail.
